Suggestions for a good voltmeter for 8n?

Been thinking of putting a voltmeter on my 12v 8n and got sticker shock when I went looking for one - $40 to $60 seems a bit much, and most of them don't look right anyhow.

Can anyone suggest a decent quality, reasonably priced one that will not look too out of place?

I don't have any personal experience putting them in an 8N Kyle, but if
your tractor is outside you may want to look at a marine voltmeter for a boat.
I've seen two inch ones on eBay for around $25 and they're water resistant.
Just a thought.

By the gar! You have made the right choice. Marine stuff is a tad 'spendy', but there is a reason for that. When I sailed the single sea (Pacific) in my 37 footer, we didn't have ANYTHING but 'marine' guages and fittings. They are bullet/salt/weatherproof. (Not really sure about the 'bullet' part) HTH

generally sunpro is the cheapest. used to be 10$ might be 16$ now.. might check harbor freight or napa / autozone too.

Not cheap but not all that expensive for a boat gauge, and looks right:

That link didn't quite work out. The gauge is a Teleflex Heavy Duty series, about $25 buck, a boat gauge, and looks just like the old black faced SW gauges.
