Well, I've done some more work on my Dad's tractor (probably might as well consider it mine). The Hydraulics on the initial run went up and wouldn't go down. The Hydraulic/Trans fluid was low, but is sufficient now. This been parked for a few weeks, so the lift arms finally reduced some tension. Today my friend and I each stood on separate lift arms and did a little hammering/tapping on lift shaft arm, the lift arms finally lowered. Now the Hydraulics almost appear to be dead. There is now no action with the lift arms at all (up or down). When Exercising the Touch Control lever when in the lower position it seems to want to spring back. I do not see any issues when looking in the inspection cover (right side) currently.
Tractor sat for at least 10 years with no usage in beautiful Michigan. I'm thinking it might be best to clean the pump and change the oil, since it may have never been changed. So other than those basics, what could be the the most problematic issue that we think this could be, with out going for a total Hydraulic pump repair kit.
Thanks for some insight.
