Hydraulic lift control forks and control valve

So I now have the forks where they go (I think) on my 9n and the lift cover goes all the way down so I can bolt it in place.
What exactly do the ends of the fork attach to? It feels like there is a little T shaped piece (maybe 1/4 inch or smaller rod??) that's fairly loose down there. Do the ends of the fork go over either side of that T??? What exaclty does the end of the valve feel like??

ou seem to show that you have no manual, know so little about it, makes me ask, how did you take it apart without breaking something?

Hope I haven't broken something. This is the first Ford I've been around. (other than a 600 I'm also working on.)

Got a chance to work on it again this evening. Found out I did break the end off of the control valve.
So... how does the control valve come out so I can replace it now too?????
 
You may or may not need to replace the "T" valve. It slids out the back and the new one slids right in. The two prongs are sprad apart and slip onto the end of the "T" valve. I did notice the two prongs going down to the "T" valve seem to be spread apart. If so it will probably slip off the "T" valve. I had to put two large radiator hose clamps around the prongs to pull them in close together so as come loose. You need a manual.
