Ever since I got the 2N the governor has not worked very well. It does not pick up load and when I put in the clutch the engine actually speeds up. I pulled the governor out and replaced the flyballs(they had small flat spots) and shimmed the the gap to .22 in.The spring was set for no slop or preload. I spun the gov. on the drill press using a soft brass wire wheel and got alot of action on the thottle lever, however, back on the tractor ...NADA. Any ideas would be welcome |

| Mr. T. Minnesota thanks for the tip. I did find that the vertical link is bent in an arc and thru movement it flopped into the manifold putting pressure on the gov. arm that goes to the carb. causing some binding. I moved it back and that seemed to help. |

| Tracman, Check throttle linkages. If they are not bent precisely they tend not to function. Mr. T. Minnesota |
