where is the oil coming from?

has been cold in central mi. in the woods with the 8 cutting wood and started blowing steam out the rar overflow. drained rad has a lot of oil in antifreeze where is this coming from? thanks dale

Sounds like a head gasket to me.
Worst case scenario would be a cracked block.

you blew it up.. but don't "worry" take the head off and replace the head gasket.. but when you do it .. replace head bolt too with nut.. no washer clean up piston and surface clean before replace gasket.. replace the cause too . the water pump and flush radiator and you might have replace the radiator too..

now that i have cleaned my shorts, took the head off. had only 60 lbs comp on #2 coolent system has oil every where. whats the best clean up?

dump some vinegar in there.. then ruin it a lil.. drain.. then go in with water.. run it.. drain.. then go back with AF.. a lil oil won't hurt.

it's likely the HG.. but keep an eye on it in case the block has an issue.
