We picked up a rope type timing cover seal from Ford Tractor dealer and the seals barely come to the top of the groove. Leaks worse than the old grub we took out. Felpro only has seal in the overhaul set. In our old Ford manual the seals are listed upper & lower. What is our option cut a shim and place under the new seal?? Thanks Earl |

| I didn't install the seal. But after questions the owner had trimmed the ends of the seal and didn't bunch it up and shape it to the groove. Thanks for the replies. Earl |

| | Earl........the flathead V-8 guys found a full circle neoprene seal that fits the nose end of both the V-8 and the N-Tractor crankshaft. NAPA seal p/n: 550199 (40x62x11) Unfortunately, still need the 2-part rope seal (soaked in hot oil first) for the flywheel end. .......Dell |
