I moved some stuff from the shop out to the storage shed on the other side of the property. I like being able to level the back homemade platform with the hyd top link :) Works mighty fine. Greg |

| Greg, Like your ideas! I especially like the rear lift platform. Is that manufactured or is it your work? If it is your design I would like to see how you constructed the framing under the platform? I have done a lot of fabrication work with my front end loaders, 2N and 8N, making attachments to fit specific jobs. Curious Retiree Mr. T. Minnesota |

| Basically it's a hay bail fork slid into two thick wall pipes. The pipes have a piece of square tubing welded across the front end. The back end of the pipes have angle cuts with a 3/8" 5'x10" plate welded to make a ramp approach. It just has a piece of 3/4" plywood on top for now. May put expanded metal instead later.I'll lift the plywood and take a pic later, Greg |

| Looks good but... Now we get to critique it :) What all are you going to carry on it? Or in other words, how much weight? I see you do have the stay bars to support the front end of the carrier. What are you going to use to support the top of the bumper to keep it from bending down? Take a look at the photos below. They are of a later style Ford bumper but very similar in design and function to yours. Notice the extra stay arms that go from the top of the bumper back to the axle. Ford made weights to fit on these bumpers and recommended you add the extra stay brackets to keep the weight from bending the bumper down. Again, I don't know how much weight you plan to carry on that platform but if it is much over a hundred or so lbs I would recommend you fashion some type of bracket to help carry the weight. Thanks to Jim UT for these photos.

| | I just need a place to carry a pic axe, water cooler, shovel, (light stuff) for example. I just wanted to keep the teeter tottering down to a minimum. Thanks for the thoughts, BTW, see the John Deere wheel weight on the square tube receiver plate on the floor? That works great for a front weight, but never want to put any heavy weight on that thin carrier for sure. Greg |
