OT: No Tractorin'

On November 24th, while moving some plywood for a project, I tore my right bicep tendon.
Had surgery on Nov 30th to reattach the tendon.
After 3 weeks I can now lift a cup of coffee.
They say I should be good by the middle of Feb. No tractor driving (or much else) until then.

And today we got a foot of snow!!

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear about your injury, the older we get the more time
it takes to heal up my last surgery took over six months to heal
up on my elbow it was 2 months before it could drink coffee
with my left arm so you are ahead of me
God Bless

Well see you just put on your coat but do not put your right arm in as in be as if you only have one arm and go for it if and only if your doctor says you can do it that way. Or coach your wife as she does it. Yep understand being down this time of year. Back on Jan 5th 1996 I had back surgery by the way my birthday also. Was down but did not stay down as long as I should have and have payed ever since. Then a few years later had both should and knee surgery done. If your doctors say NO then listen to him and say yes I will be good boy so yes I know how you feel take care and be a good boy for your own sake and recovery

Hoping for a quick recovery for you - DON'T PUSH IT and
you'll be fine.
Years ago I separated my shoulder skiing at Stamford, but no
operation. A year later I was cutting firewood for camp and
lifted a hundred+ pound block into the trailer with the same
arm low, and boy did it hurt. I have to remember even today
to lift with the other arm low to take the weight.

you'll need to get you a r/c tractor for in the house, [ after you get good with the remote control, dont do what i did and chase the wife's cat with the tractor, it makes em both mad]

I know what you mean, had back surgery 12-3 L4 & L5 fused. Still walking kind of gingerly. Doc said I may not be making our annual Harley trip to Montana this coming summer. I'm hoping to prove him wrong, have to wait and see. Hope you have a good recovery, take it slow.

Ben there too! Had L4,L5, and S1 fused in 1992. Took about 2 years before I was able to do most of what I did before. DON'T lift and becareful bending your back. You could blow out disks above and below your fusion.
