How big of a big deal is it to add a frount pump to a loader that is set up to work off the test port? Does anyone know about what it would cost? Thinking about one, and from what i can tell they are not (much) useable from the test port, as in not having much use of the 3 point,is this right? trolling for information....thanks... oh yeah i would be useing it on a 50' 8n. my pump is kinda weak, useable but weak.

Got you covered and as a plus your problems with your old weak OEM pump will be history. Send me email or call me on my cell to discuss teh details. The pump and plumbng to run the loader and give you live hydraulics will run you about $375 depending on what you currently have up front in the way of a loader mount. What model loader is it? If your loader does not have it's own external control valve and currently uses the 3pt control you will need to add a control valve - another $150. Click on the little image of teh pump to see a full size version.

Well first off look at your loader to see if it has a mount for a pump but no pump there. Seen more then one person take the pump off and do as your is done because the old pump went bad and they did not want to spend $300 or so for a new pump.
As for cost a lot depends on what you can find. The drive shaft parts can run around $100 for hub shaft etc. Then you need a pump which can cost you $200-1000 depending on what you get. You want a pump on the 8-10 GPM size or you can end up wearing what you have in the bucket due to the loader coming up way to fast and throwing the load out an on top of you and then you can be dead meat. Do not laugh at this part if it true seen it happen a few to many times
