Start with the simple.
Assuming it's not out of gas, pull the plug out of the bottom of the carb and
see if gas will run into a container for a couple of minutes steady.
If it does, make sure the gas is clean and put it back in.
If it does not, then check the screens for obstruction.
There is one on top of the sediment bowl, one in the elbow going into the carb
and one on top of the sediment bowl assembly in the tank.
Leave that one for last.
If you do have good gas flow, do you have a working ammeter?
If your ammeter works, what does it do when you crank it?
Does it "bounce" when you crank the engine over, or go negative, or nothing at all?
