I have been thinking about this for the last few wks.and now I am gonna give my 2 cents worth. A few wks. ago a fella posted a question about his tractor in a very rude and obnoxios manner yet the fine people here treated him with respect and answered his questions politely and accurately. It makes me proud to consider myself a small part of this great group I just hope I can live up to the example when put to the test.Do I make myself perfectly clear.

Yes, you make yourself very clear. I lurk aroudn the edges of this forum, read a lot and then do a lot of research by reading old posts. Am always amazed at the respect, time, advice, and knowledge that folks like Soundguy, JMOR, Bruce (Va), Royse, Zane, etc. give and share. When I ask a question, I always try and THANK each person that replied individually. I think most folks love to try and help and in return, just wnat simple commom respect and a heartfelt THANKS. I think if you try to do that, you'll always get ehlp.

occaisionally one or another of the guys will skip their meds and start jumping up and down,(im the worst most times)LOL. But they know what their doing, and dont mind sharing.

his is the best forum :!:

Nebraska Cowboy I could not agree with you more, I look forward every day coming here to see what's going on, I remember the post you are referring to, I thought how rude of him, coming here and asking for advice and then going off, I been reading this forum for a while and feel like I know most of the regulars, Some of them might come across kinda harsh but that's the way they are, I was thinking of posting a message like you did, now I don't have to, there is a couple more names I would like to add OLD and DELL there are many more, but these come to mind right now, thanks to all of you for your support.

I couldn't agree more flembo, this is a great forum with excellent people.

Nebraska Cowboy, wow, I'm not sure my name belongs in that list!
I try to help when I can and I enjoy doing it, but I have learned so
much from the other people in that list that it humbling to be included.

gblj, thanks for adding Old and Dell.
There are so many helpful people here we probably can't name them all
but I'll add GB in MT, Hobo, NC, NoNewParts and DollarBill to the long list of folks
who have helped me out!

Merry Christmas to all y'all!
(y'all is singular, all y'all is plural, or so I've been told) :)

I agree with all the above and find myself here first thing in the mornings and about three more times during day and then time to spend some time here like now. Sure a lot for someone like me to learn here plus a fine group of people.

I've been on this forum for about a decade and consider it an important part of my daily routine to check in with the goings on here. I've also had the opportunity to meet several forum members in person and all have been outstanding folks.

During the summer months farming demands make my stops by the forum less frequent, and I miss it.

It's nice to be a part of a community of people who are from so many different backgrounds but who all come together to share a love of old equipment and to pass on incredible knowledge.

I remember that post. I went back and re-read it several times, and I still couldn't get over the rudeness. But the regulars took it in stride and helped him anyway.
I only discovered this site recently when I went hunting for help with my new 9N. Usually I can find my answers by searching the archives. If not I ask my questions here and get quick answers. Reading all of the new posts is now a daily habit for me. The accumulated knowledge here will live on and be useful as long as there are still N series Fords in service.

I suspect they will outlive all of us.
