Found this in the weeds about 4 miles from home. Previous owner said it quit running 6-7 years ago and he left it where I found it. Motor was froze until I got half mile from the compound. I was being towed by a Chevy t ruck. Hope there are not any pictures of that. Put tractor in gear and popped the clutch a handful of times and it broke loose. Paid 600 and sold the blade that came with to a friend that helped me get it home. Have not done anything with it other than put a roof over its head. Has a sherman and a tach.

Its the red one!

Great tractors. Hope it works out well.
I would still soak those cylinders in ATF or MMO to free things up.
Hopefully none of the rings broke spinning them dry.
They're tough old birds and that one looks nice!

I have freed them up that way before without a problem but I usually do soak them in MMO for a week or so before trying.
If the tractor is not heavily ballasted - fluid in the rear tires or wheel weights - the tires will just skid when you dump the clutch and probably not apply much more torque to the crank than hitting it with 12V on the starter.
Did you paint your other tractor that color?
I secretely believe Blue tractors run better :)

No it was blue when I bought it. I did touch it up with a few rattle cans though. Looks good at a distance. Its a worker not a show tractor.

Is the 3rd non running Ford I have bought and I have been lucky so far. I did not know that you could muck things up freeing it up like that. I will never do it again :( I will keep you posted as to any damage I caused.
