Hey Tom...........

Had a REAL GERMAN LUGAR 9mm once. I thought I found a GEM. Souvenier of WWII from OLD brother-in-law.

Showed the pistol to my ex-father-in-law, a real gunsmith, Kentucky Rifle Guy.

He said: The Barrel is TOO THIN for the bore.

This type of pistol was to be used only sparingly.

I traded the weapon for a simple .22 with thick barrel.

John,PA Stick with local gunsmith.

You traded a German Luger for a .22? Man someone really saw you coming. Next time you're in a gun shop try pricing a Luger, if you can find one.

I know how I got a bad deal.

In the 60's....... DELAWARE came up with some "Police-State" laws.

If that Lugar was not State licensed I could have been in jail, just for possessing such a weapon. I figgered to keep my job I had better simply trade it for one of my ex-father in law's.

So, since the Lugar was free to start with, I made a good deal. I still have the 22.

John

I have always wanted a German Luger but they are pricey. Know of one not far from me but at $1875 I sure as heck can not buy it, but it is also in very good shape
