2n charging??

6v, 2n with 3 brush gen. I had to replace my 5+ year old bat today. My manual is packed away. How many amps should my gen be set at, don't want to cook the new bat.

I know this has come up many times, may try a search.

Think it about 2-3 amps. More trained experts will be along to clear it up.
