Until we know what you are calling the "Main Power Jet", stop working on it.....!!!!, OR as JMOR has already told you, you may just be buying another carb.

Is it the Main fuel adjusting needle???? That is the adj. screw, on the top of the carb front!! If that is what twisted off.....then you will have to have a special pair of 90deg. vice grips to get it out. (DO NOT DRILL ON THAT ONE!!!)

If it is the main NOZZEL....the the right size drill and some dental tools are needed, to remove what is left in the passage.

The easy one of the three to remove.....is the Main jet itself.......(Right sized lft. handed drill......Centered.....then re-tap new threds for a new jet!!!!

Tell us exactly what you broke,.....then I might be able to help you!!!!!!

The power jet under the main nozzle. The carb was off the tracor that had been sitting for 15 years. The carb was rusty as heck inside and between soaking in carb cleaner and the works we got all the rust off and the jet was plugged. I suppose half of it is still in the bottom of the carb. We have always taken this jet out and replaced it when doing a rebuild on the carb and never had it break. I don't believe the threads in the hole are messed up as it twisted off pretty easily.

Well then, if this is the case, and the jet is still 'half' ...in the passage, and half out.......you need to get the other half out,....OR, if the bottom half is still in the passage, and the oriface (center hole), is still intact, you can clean it up/out, and leave the bottom half in there, (telling the next owner what is still there), and let him deal with it!!!

To get that cleaned out, properly....you should remove the whole jet, with lft.-handed drill, and pick out all the left over brass.!!! Then re-thred the passage with the right size tap!!!!!

If you do not know what the sizing is for the threds and jet.......you can email me, and I will return the info. that you will need to have before drilling.!!!!

If the drilling is NOT done properly, and or straight, you will have just ruined the bowl of the carb.......!!!!!!

NOT hard to fix that jet....just takes time and paying attention to detail!!!
