'51 8n starter removal

Hey guys,

I got the outside of the starter off, with the brushes and springs, but I can't pull the the inside out...seems like there is a spring I'm guessing for the bendex, but I can't pull it out, scared I'm gonna do some damage. Need to take the whole starter off. Any help would be appreciated. 12v conversion. Original starter.

The bendix has to come over and around the flywheel.
Tilt the armature down and towards the engine and
lift the bendix around the flywheel at the two
o'clock position. I can guarantee you it went in
that way with the whole stater motor assembled.
