I am rebuiding the engine on our 48 8N front mount distributor tractor.
I finished removing the .040 sleeves this afternoon. I used the technique in Zane's article of December 2007.
Used an oxt/acetelyn torch to heat a strip about 3/8 wide in each sleeve to a dull red from bottom to top. Let them cool then used a puller. All four sleeves came out great with very little effort.
