Thank you JMOR and Sounguy for your replys. Jumpered across cutout and it started charging like crazy!!! I have a cutout already gutted with a diode installed but have never been able to figure out how to install it. The diode I have has a (-) in one corner, a sine wave in another, a (+) in another and AC at the other corner. As I understand your instructions, (-) goes to the armature. Which one of the others goes to the Batt? Which one is the constant and which ones of the others are the spares??? Thanks guys, I could never have kept my 2N running without you. |

| | as jmor indicated. you doint specifically have a single diode.. but a package of 4 diodes areanged as a full wave bridge rectifier. as indicated you can use a single segment and have 3 spares.. or parallel segments and have 1 spare. soundguy |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see Plus (+) to Armature and either "sine wave" to battery. But as you can see there are several workable connections.
