Bruce has pretty much described what its like to drive one with a loader. A real pain. Power steering kits are available, but the cost is as much as the tractor. If you only need a loader once in a while, some have suggested renting one. I have a loader on a 9N, and one on a Jubilee. I retrofitted power steering on the Jube, and so far it has worked well. I'm watching very carefully to make sure I don't break anything. Aside from that, if you do put one on use one with a stinger pump on the front. That way you don't have to chain the 3 pt down and you can use it independently. A good use for the 3 pt then would be to hold counter weight. Hanging weight off the 3 pt helps balance the tractor out so you don't have as much weight on the front axle. That helps some with steering and to some extent, breakage of the front end.
