Painting my 9n

I have read that Rustoleum smoke gray is very close to the original dark gray on my 9n. A previous owner painted it like an 8n. I have it apart now and want to paint it back to gray. If I paint the engine the rustoleum smoke gray. How will it last, on the engine due to the heat. Is there high temp dark gray engine paint?

Thank you
Preston

Thank you.

The only area on the engine that requires a high-temp paint is the manifold. I don't paint my manifold, but a lot of guys use a high-temp black.

We used it on our 2N...liked the color although it may have been just a tad too light, but we didn't use any hardner...it's pretty much faded to just a primer looking color now, even with waxings...I will not use it again when I redo it, and if I were to use it again I would sock the hardner to it.

I forgot to mention that photos of my 41' 9N are posted on this site
in the tractor photo gallery. Tagged as 41' 9N Bill A. TN. Have a
look, picture is worth a thousand words.
