It took a while but I now have more of the front mount distributor timing locks. I have acquired an "infinite" supply this time so no need to rush to get your order in ahead of the others!!! Price is $12 each plus shipping. They are small items and will ship for $5 or less to any US address. I charge actual USPS shipping so send me a zip code along with your order.

It's a doohicky to securely lock the rotor shaft while you install new points. It locks the drive tang on the rotor shaft at exactly the 1/4" offset shown in the FO-4 front distributor timing diagram. Once installed you can flip the distributor over and install and position the new points using a test lamp to get the ignition timing dead on. You can even use the lock bar to clamp the distributor nice and secure in a vise while you fiddle with the points. The folks that find it most helpful are mainly those with just one pair of hands ;-)

My apologies but my use of John Smith's picture of the distributor and his tool confused at least one person. That is John's version of the locking bar not mine. I have removed Johns picture and replaced it with two of mine showing my version of the tool which consists of the locking bar, spacer, bolt, abnd knurled nut. This is what you will receive if you order one from me.

Of COURSE you will get yours back-just because. I never loan anything that is 'sharp', or has a motor on it. Burned to the bone too many times.
