| Used it on my 8N to fix a small leak in the radiator. Followed directions to the letter and still working fine after a year. |

| Actually it's pretty common in new vehicles that have a cast iron blocks and aluminum heads or cast everything and aluminum intakes for new to have a stop leak chemical added at the factory. After working as a mechanic the only people who I've seen with plugging problems were trying to fix major problems and kept dumping that in some type of stop leak every few days.

| Can"t fix the leak unfortunately. Its in the water jacket behind the intake port. It"s not a bad leak, just enough that it bothers me. Thanks for everybodies opinion. Big help. |

| What part of your cooling system is leaking?
Water pump? Radiator? Block? Hose?
I've use Water Glass to seal quite a few blocks, but it won't help other problems. |

| I would stay away from barsleak type products. In the 36 years I've been in the automotive business it has had the reputation of sealing, but risking plugging. The best product I've seen AND used is from GM. It was developed for the aluminum engine blocks. The aluminum block allows the possibility of small passages for the coolant to leak. The GM "seal tabs" were specifically designed to stop these leaks and not clog anything up. To the extent that if you drain the coolant, you have to put the sealant in again because it come out with the coolant. Any GM parts department will have them. They are under $10 for a package that will handle 2 8n cooling systems. Just ask for cooling seal tabs, they'll know what you want. |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see I used it to try and seal leaky head gaskets on a Subaru, and it helped but did not solve the problem. New head gaskets fixed the problem. |

| Yep I have used it in many things over the years that had small head gasket leaks or other such small leaks. I prefer the newer copper barrs leak over the old black stuff |

| I have used several brands over the years. By far I think Barrs works best. My #2 choice would be black pepper "cheap". Just remember - That is only a temperory fix. |

| On new cars, Barsleak works well enough that a lot of auto manufacturers are using it as a "permanent" repair for cars under warranty with minor head gasket leaks. Whether this is testimony to the manufacturers faith in Barsleak, or parsimony is hard to say. I'd be ripped if I had a brand new car with a leaky head gasket and they just threw in a can or instant fix, but the service people at the local Subaru dealer say it is a lifetime cure as long as you throw in another can every so often. |

| | DEPENDS on the OEM Anti-FREEZE. Get a report from BARS LEAK, (tm). In other words, ASK the permission of the manufacture of COMPOUNDS. German Engineers will always say "NINE". Which means NO in GERMAN. BARS leak looks like something I would not trust to a $40,000. car. |
