For some reason the water level in my radiator keeps getting low. not real low.I think. I check it before I drive the tractor(1951 8n)and make sure the level is just above the tube openings. Where oh where did the water go??

possibly out the exhaust..head gasket..check the cylinder compression ..spark plugs can be steamed cleaned..surely you checked the oil..gets milky with water

Could be a number of problems. I'll start at the cheap and work on to the oh no stuff. #1 small leak at one of the hose connections. #2 a pin hole in a hose. #3 a water pump heading south on you #4 a small hole in the radiator and #5 the head gasket has a leak

I'll add #6...internal crack in block. Check oil for dirty chocolate milk look as said earlier. Water level goes down and oil level goes up may mean crack in the water jacket.
