I had my genny rebuilt last fall and it was making a squeeling noise. I called the place that rebuilt it and they told me it was just the new brushes and it would go away after being run a while. Well that was somewhat true as it went down to a faint squeel but recently it has started getting louder. I see a little port on the back of the genny is this for oil? Could the squeeling be due to the genny needing some lube? Its charging just fine. Thanks!

Chris.......sheesh, you don't believe the genny flip-em tab is for OILING yer squeaking genny bearing, do you??? Use regular engine oil. Use yer engine oil dipp'em-stick to pick-up a couple of drops from inside yer engine oil pan. Simple, eh? ........the amazed Dell
