Thanks for the answer. That's been my take on it as well. I'm putting my original radiator up some place until I can get around to taking it to a shop I can trust.
After sitting around here for a bit: I decided to go ahead and install it. It took a bit of work but I finally got it on there. I bet you couldn't slide a piece of paper between the fan blade and the lower radiator hose.
I let it run for about an hour and didn't feel the heat coming off the engine like I did with the old radiator. It didn't belch water out the top like the old one did either. I don't know maybe this is a good thing.
We'll see.
