I have acquired a 9n with an 8N motor that isnt complete. What I need to know is what is the part# for the support bracket that holds the horizontal throttle shaft on the front of the head, It goes on with the head bolts and has the pivot and the spring attachment point? Can someone point me to the right part, Cant find it in the parts book, probably because not looking in the right place. Thanks in advance |

| Clear to me!
It just didn't look like it would be a direct fit to the 8N's more vertical linkage.
Might as well get all the parts in one order! :) |

I've never tried it, just asking. |
Royce;
Short answer is:......YES & NO!!!! :lol:
I'm using an early, 8N-A GOV, on my 2N.....BUT.... the throttle rod to Gov., assy. arm.....pt.# 8N-18190, has to be replaced with, the 9/2N assy. arm...pt.#9N-18190.
The hook-up for the down pointing throttle rod to Gov. at the Gov arm...for the 9/2N.... has a hook-up point that is lower than the 8N's.
He will have to have the 9/2N assy. gov. arm, to make it work right. Change that out and it should work fine!! Mine does!!!???
Clear as mud....RIGHT??????? :lol:
Gary :roll:
BTW:......Where I said,....an early, 8N-A distrib.,......was supposed to read, 'early 8N-A GOV......and now has been changed......DUH..... :?

| GB is correct. I was able to find a weak wifi connection. I do have some of those. There are two different designs. The earlier design is made of cast iron and the later design is stamped steel. I have both. I can send pics of both if you will email me so I have your email address. I won't be home until Tuesday night sometime. I won't be able to send pics until probably Wednesday night at the soonest. |
