I keep looking at this - http://goldcountry.craigslist.org/grd/3225688346.html

I e mailed the owner and he said it had no rear fenders - I was thinking, wouldnt that be pretty dangerous? You could easily get caught on the tire and pulled down and under?

Lee

A fellow put half tracks on his Ford.Left the fenders off.He was speading manure when the half track grabbed his coat.Half track ran over him.Farm Alls and JDs had fenders as an option.

Fenders are safety items, I like to have them.

My local tractor pulls require them.

But, as others have said they were optional years ago.

My guess on that tractor is they wouldn't fit/reach after they added

the "high crop" rear wheels.

Are those some kind of custom hubs, or where they an option on the Jubilee's?

If they are aftermarket, who makes them?

Shoot a number of companies did not have them as standard things but as an cost you more option. Look at most of the older Farmalls and JD tractor and most do not even have fenders.

I don't think I've ever seen those type of wheels
before. Are those original to the Jubilee? Mt
neighbor had one but it didn't have those wheels.

Lee yea fenders could be considered a safety item. JD and IH built many tractors where the fenders were an option. IH had optional fenders clear up to and including the 4/560's that ceased production in the early 60's.

I think the over the tranny seating made them a little safer that say a N where you would be between the tires instead of over them.

No.
I used that rear cylinder to pump oil to a front cylinder to raise a snow plow I built years ago.

Nah, not completely. I'm still running the 2N fenders I got on my dad's tractor and I still have a bit of evidence in my kitchen.
