With no way to bend anything to get the proper alignment of the faces of my points was was going to just go with it as is. Figured the point just wouldn't last as long. Then I came up with an idea. Shim up the bottom part of the point to bring its face up to the height of the top piece. I took the points back off and made shims out of some emery cloth. Then glued the shims in place. Did that and it helped but it was till a little to low. Tried another layer and that made it to high. The Emery Cloth is 0.020. So I took the second layer off and replaced it wit Duck Tape. The Duck Tape is 0.008 That worked near prefect.
That means the faces were out of alignment by about 0.028. Has anyone else had to do something like this? Point were 'BWD's from O'Reilly.

If it had been me I would have taken them back to O'Reilly's and had them give me another set then compare the 2 sets. Sounds like you just got a set that where bad in the first place and if it where me I would TAKE them back any how to make 100% sure.

Which series of BWD from oreillys? The have regular Bwd and the bwd select which is their premium line. I have had problems with some of the regular Bwd stuff as well as all the other brands. I"ve had no problems with the select stuff.
