upgrading to 12V on my 1948 8N.. I would like to find the conversion piece that enables use of round coil. My 640 runs better after changing to 12 v coil (recommended on this site) that does not require an external resistor. |

You could move condenser outside. Attached are a few solutions & many exist, including Soundguy's carved wooden block.

and one more nice on that Bob did. It requires condenser to be mounted outside distributor like the Pertronix adapter would.

| | yep.. plenty of ways to skin that cat. I have since polyereothaned my wood block.. betweent hat and the epoxy i used.. she makes a good water proof non conductive block. I'm gonna mock one up out of resin using a form/cast later this summer.. see how it turns out.. |

| | i've seen the pertronix kit that offers the front mount blank off to use a round coil.. you you can make your own with a blank block or gutted front coil. no magic.. just a couple wire connections... and depending on how you go about it.. MAYBEE a change to the dizzy cap.. |
