1945 2N - lift issues. ( what am I in for? )

Quality seat time last weekend: 1+ acre food plot, Dearborn 2-bottom plow, disc, etc. Put the ol' girl to work and boy does she pull.

One issue toward the end... My tube-frame disc is about the limit for the 3pt lift. As I've been working this tractor I have noticed the pump noise under load. (wuka-wuka from the scotch yoke, I presume). At the end of the weekend I picked up a screaming noise under load and it would only lift the disc just off the ground. Plow was no problem. Under heavy lift load it sounds like a poorly set-up lathe.

I don't want to do any more damage running it, but at the same time I don't want to do more surgery than needed. Is there a likely cause of this? Time for a pump rebuild?

Only other thing I've done is I throw in the o-ring piston when I had the top cover off last year. Any advice on the skreetching noise appreciated...

Either lighten the load or replace the pressure relief valve. It's trying to tell you it's overloaded and it could cause other more expensive problems.

Like broken lift arms, Broken rocker arm inside, Blown gasket/s, broken scotch yokes etc.

It sounded to mechanical that I never guessed it could be the pressure releif making such a sound. Thanks guys, I will proceed accordingly.
