I have a '51 Ford , side mount that I bought a after market proofmeter for to replace a broken one . The cable from the governor turns but the proofmeter does not . Am I missing a part or something ? Thanks for any answers . |

| L Doyle........check the end of yer proofmeter cable. It should be scrunched "square". Most likely the square end broke off in yer BAD proofmeter. Bottom line, replace with NEW proofmeter cable. DO NOT BUY the plastic type proofmeter cable as the HOT exhaust manifold will MELT the proofmeter cable. Gitt the old fashioned exterior armored metal proofmeter cable. ........proofable Dell |
