I bought an 8N about a week ago. The rear hubs were caked with old grease hard as clay. After cleaning it up and removing all components I am replacing the shoes and seals. The seals that came out were about 1/2" thick and the only ones found locally are about 1/4-3/8" thick. The ones on the internet do not list the thickness. Is the thinner seal a replacement? I would hate to assemble this rear end and have the same leakage using the thin seal. Any info would be appreciated. |

| | If it has the inner seal in the trumpet housing it also has a large seal on the mounting flange that should be replaced. If the hub is loose on the outer spline it will leak after new seals are installed. Zane |
