I have a ford 900 row crop 172 cubic in 4 cllinder 5 speed w/Reverse.Piston driven Hydraulics. Some how lost prime How can I reestablish very confused. Also took hydraulic lift cover off and replaced a bent part. new Hydraulic oil. Also removed hydraulic pump cause I dont know stupid/curious. am missing one screw off lift cover a mess. Anybody please. |

| | To prime the piston pump you should remove the pipe plug at the front / head of the pump. With a drip pan under the pump start the engine at low RPM and allow the pump to run with oil coming out of the pump till there are no bubbles in the oil. Piston pumps will pump no air. If that does not restore the operation of the lift it is possible that the unloading valve is not moving. That will call of more fixing. Zane |

| Should be a pope plug on the top side of the pump. Pull it out and pour in some 85W-90 oil or hyd oil and then start it up. Keep pouring as it runs then put the plug back in and it should be primed. May not even have to start it till you put the plug back depending on if it will hold oil there |
