1942 Ford tractor

you can buy proper transmission oil for these at a lot of the farm type stores, such as tractor supply ,attwoods, etc.different brands but it will be marked for older ford tractors.i personaly use any good 80-90wt,and a lot of folks simply use 134 oil up north where its real cold.

Jerry.......while Ford/New-Holland now recommends spec: M2C-134D hydro-tranny oil, many use GL-1 from NAPA. (5-gals) Do NOT use modern multi-weight tranny oil ..........oily, Dell

The mineral oil stated was only a War Years alternate for the originally hard to get specified Mild EP SAE 90 gear oil. 50 weight HD motor oil was another War Years alternate. Lots of choices today, read up and choose the best lube for your purpose.

No such animal as Ford/New Holland, its Case/New Holland. Don't you remember that Ford left the tractor business back in 1994?
