What a difference a year makes. Last year never had to water the garden. This year every day.

Using the 8N to carry water to the field and then gallon jugs with a small pin hole in the top and bottom to drip irrigate the plants.

Tomatoes are so so. Peppers, squash are doing good and pumpkins are taking over.

Great photos!

It's been a wonderful year for us. We also have to irrigate nearly every day. We run about 5,400 feet of trickle tape and 600 feet of 3" overhead irrigation pipe. We run one system one day and another system the following day. We've had 1.3" since the end of May. Driving around the area, we seem to be in a particular dry spot.

But the crops are doing great. We harvested a beautiful crop of garlic, potatoes are coming in, and we had the first okra blossoms this past weekend - something I look forward to.

Last week the N got used every day - everything from pulling wagons to mowing to disking and planting green manure cover crops.

Njoy the season!
Colin, MN

I've been using a dripper hose on my small garden but last weekend we got dumped on with rain so I turned it off for a while.

This is the worst garden season I can recall. Planted beans 3 times already.Stinking groundhogs are eating everything. They ate my melon plants, pumpkin plants, sunflowers and anything else with any moisture in it. Between them and the heat and lack of rain it a real bust. So far I have dispatched 9 whistle pigs,a possum and a rabbit.

Those jugs w/ the holes do really well. I did that one year w/ a 5 gallon bucket in the middle of a pumpkin hill. Filled it almost every day & added some Miracle-Gro every now & then. The smallest pumpkins were the size of basketballs!

Yep dry as 2 bones up here at the lake. I water the garden every other night and let the sprinkler go from dark till I get up the next morning and even that is just keeping some of it going.

Beautiful scenes . I especially like the 8n being at work . Do you show your N ? It looks prestine as a show & work piece . Your cultivators bring back a lot of fond memories .God bless, Ken
