Just got my 2n 6 volt charging system hooked up yesterday and after running it for awhile and the tractor sitting for about an hour I noticed the generator was so hot I couldn't hold my hand on it. I just put a new round can cut out on it yesterday also, what would be causing the generator to get that hot with the tractor not running? Jason |

| Jason.......didja remember to "polarize" yer 2-terminal roundcan cut-out??? Iff'n you don't, the cut-out will NEVER disconnect yer genny when yer engine stops and you will HEAT yer genny too HOT to comfortably put a gloved hand on it. Me? I arc-spark the 2-terminal roundcan cut-out with a pair of pliers handles. You can us bailin' warr iff'n you want. You can re-polarize as many times as it takes to feel warm'n'fuzzy ...charged... .......the charged Dell |

| | Jason.......we gitt reports of BAD roundcan cut-outs outta the box. Sometimes a side-whack with wooden handle will jar the brushes loose. Sometimes the relay pivots gitt stuck or fall outta their frame. Ain't NO LAW to prevent you from disassembling yer roundcan fer lookie-look. The Model-A guys use a solid state voltage regulator inna roundcan with a Ford logo stamped. Look up "Fun Products". With the solid state voltage regulator, adjust yer 2N 3rd-brush screw fer maximum output. .......the charged Dell |

| That's kinda what I was thinking, looks like I will convert it and solder in the bridge rectifier. Jason |

| Cut out is not working. Release the fan belt. I'll bet the generator motors. Solution - unhook the battery when sitting or replace the cut out. |
