Where can I find a good used pair for my BIL...He missed a good deal on some 18 X 30s--dumb question I know but don't want to tell him wrong--Is height and width affected by them being 18s instead of 16.9? Thanks |

| Good luck with that Tom. I looked for two years for a decent set of 14.9 or 16.9 X 30s. For some reason people just aren't selling used ones or if they are they want so dog gone much for them as to be crazy. Finally when my pal Kenny needed a set we teamed up and got a little better price on 4 new ones instead of two. I had to break my piggy bank, sell my little dog and eat wiener water soup for a month to pay for mine. And that's for cheap China Maids (Samson). I used to have a link to a Firestone chart that showed tractor tire dimensions but it doesn't work any more. Anybody got one? I know that 18.4 X 30s are substantially larger than 16.9 X 30s though.

| Thanks Duane. Did you blow your $1K yet? I had a set of fenders on my porch for two years and then a fellow came along recently and gave me $200 for them. The $200 wasn't in my wallet for a week and it was gone. Aint that the way it goes? |

| | Nah, it just went into the GENERAL FUND and that sorta fades away!! It would be kind of fun to know if the guys that got the plow and disk were satisfied... a back blade is...well... a back blade but the rest were working fine for me... I hope they're happy with 'em. duey |

| They were nice implements. I'll bet they're getting used more lately than they did in the last few years :) That reminds me I have something here I should send you. Have to find your address again. |

| | What ever happened to that 2.7 CHRYSLER product? If I remember, you had the waterpump job done. I am about to drill a 2 inch hold in the intake manifold to take my little "Inspection light" to check for the proper PLUNGER projection on the chain guide. Thanks, John,PA |

| Yep, water pump job--$950 thrown away--two weeks after had the Job done it started messing up--found out that the mechanic had broken my cam position sensor and had put a junk yard one on it--had it replaced and it ran fine-got home from that 100 mile trip and the timing chain started making noises--wish I could prove it, but I bet he put a used chain tensioner in it too..anyway-sold the car for $1000-lady I work with was looking for a good body-this one was near spotless. Will never use this mechanic again and will steer as much business away from him as I can. |

| | If I would have been at the parade, I would have given YOU the service key to the Company car and said "if YOU think YOU need a new one, take it! WE always carry spare parts in the SPARE PARTS section of the DODGE. Timing chain, water pump, and other stuff. What would the mechanic going to do to make a penance $$$$ if YOU told him YOU have the OEM parts. I usually say, "Have 3aaa deliver the car to a N FRIEND along the path. Just pay the labor bill in CASH! |
