I installed new brake shoes on an 8N, wnd when I put the reurn spring on, it pulls the shoes away from the backing plate so they're no longer square to the backing plate. You have to force the drum on, and it will not turn freely. I've beveled the leading edge, trailing edge, inboard and outboard sections of the shoes and I've filed about 1/32" off the shoe surface. Can anyone tell from these poor quality pictures where I've gone wrong? |

| " Can anyone tell from these poor quality pictures where I've gone wrong?" Yea. As Dollar Bill said, you installed them wrong. Next time, take pictures. Or, do one side at a time. CRS will get you every time! |

| The brake shoe frame is supposed to go between the two tabs that radiate from the bearing retainer. You should see one tab on the front and one on the back of the shoe frame. You have the shoes behind both tabs.
This is how it should look from the back side.
