repacking front wheel bearings

Is there anything out the ordinary when repacking the front wheel bearings on a 2N Ford? I am sure they have not been done for at least 20 plus years.
Any info appreciated!

No, not really.

If you're going to do it right, you will need to remove the inner bearing & that involves removing the dust seal. That means you will need new dust seals. See tip # 2.

Just pack the bearings, not the hub!

If you don't have a bearing packer, put a gob of grease in the palm of your hand & push the bearings into it. Lightly coat the spindle & races.

Don't order the seals until you get the bearings out. Because you might just need new bearings. And races.

Hint: when the bearings fall out of the carrier & roll across the floor, that's a good sign that you need new ones.
