Hi folks,I am planing to order a pto shaft for my jub. from this sight and at the same time want to order a solenoid for my 5000.I have never gotten any elec. parts from yeasterdays tractors before and was wondering about the quality of them?Just looking for opinions..Thanks

I recently ordered a starter relay for my NAA. The first one I got made the engine turn over without the starter button pushed. THey are very good about sending out a new one. Turns out the second one they sent me wouldn't work at all. I have a working relay so I know theirs were faulty. I wanted to send both of the relays back and asked them to give me a shipping label. They informed me that they have a 30 day return policy and would not provide a return label. Shipping would have cost me more than the cost of the relays. What bothers me is I like to order several parts at one time as part of a restoration to save shipping costs and ordering time. I often don't get to installing several items for a couple months. I wish I could rely on those parts more.

I think they do a pretty good job getting the best possible parts out there, and as Rick said, if something is defective, they'll fix the problem pronto.

I think you may find there is one supplier that sells parts to CNH and you may get the same part, same part #, suppliers name on it from YT. This is what I discovered when I ordered parts to rebuild my hyd pump. I don't recall the name of the supplier, but when I looked the supplier up, I found CHN was the only place locally I could buy them from. Perhaps others may sound in on their experience.

Recently needed to buy a starter drive for my Jub. I looked up the part from YT. Decided to call NAPA. They couldn't find the part in their books. I told them to try YT part number. Sure enough, same part at twice the price. Makes you wonder if Napa doesn't buy from the same supplier. I bought it from YT.

Once I bought an item from YT and it wasn't right. Call them and they shipped me another part for free. I wouldn't worry about buying from YT.

I converted my Jub to a vertical exhaust. The next day the part was on my front door. They shipped it from Indy, about 80 miles from where I live. However, I had to wait longer to get my starter drive. I think there are over 20 warehouses across the US, so it depends how far they have to ship it as to how long you have to wait.

Check antique Ford parts dealers for this solenoid. It was used in 37 to 48 Ford cars and trucks.Dennis Carpenter is one supplier. You may find nos parts.

Thanks for your input I think I will order the solenoid from YT and see how it goes. The pto shaft dosent worry me too much but now days you have to be careful where you purchase your elec.parts............
