2N Seating Adjustable?

My 2N has a seat spring with 2 mounting holes where it bolts to the top of the rear-end. Given the bend of the spring, it doesn't look like just adding another hole for more backwards adjustment is a good idea. Are there different springs/seats available that would give you a bit more leg room? I want to be able to get on the brakes a bit quicker than I can right now, especially on a hill.

Thanks, as always!

Something like this? Goes underneath the spring. That one is underneath GB's icicle coated behind right now

Sure did help me for leg room, and my Psyatica(sp?) nerve, while depressing the clutch peddle.

Yep, that looks like what I'm after. Is it purchasable, since I'm just beginning to learn some BASIC fabrication? Too many years with my head in a computer. Thanks for the pictures!

I have one on my 850 that is much simpler but not as versatile. It's made out of 1 x 2 steel tubing. I found it on a tractor I was parting out and since I'm 6'6" tall, I thought I'd put it on my 850. It moves the seat up an inch or so and back a couple of inches. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a difference you can feel. Remove the seat and spring. Bolt this piece to the seat mounting studs on the top cover. Then mount your seat & spring to the bolts sticking out of the top of the rectangular tubing.

The only drawback is that now when I raise the 3ph, if the leveling box crank is in the up location, it will hit the rear lip of the seat pan. I just turn the crank 1/2 a turn when that happens and the problem goes away.

Thanks - I didn't realize my email button had disappeared until you said that. Looks like they reset all the profiles to not show email somewhere in the past. I know it used to be there along with the PM and WWW buttons. I put it back.
