Over the years there have been a good many of them. The SKS could be found that way as the AR15 and the AK47. Plus many can be modified and there are kits for that also. You might try cheaper then dirt dot com

Not sure if you were looking at shotguns or rifles...
Mossberg makes a pistol grip 410....
Thompson center used to make a contender that you could get in several calibers, not sure if they are still making them or not. Dad used to have one that was a single shot, broke open like a shot gun. All the diffrent barrels fit the same frame, had a little pin you pushed out and the barrel & forearm came right off, pin the new one in.
calibers from .22 to at least .45 in pistol & I know he had .223 & .243 in rifle, imagine there were others...

Simple web search!!!!!

When I read your subject the firearm that came to my mind was the Maresleg. Think of a winchester with a short barrel and the stock cut back to the pistol grip. In the 60"s the hero on a TV show carried one. Steve McQueen on "Wanted Dead or Alive".
Rossi makes several models of this firearm.

Thanks--guess I was brain dead last night and could not think of chipmunk for anything..Woke up this morning and it was in my pea brain clear as day..Did the search and looked a while on the Chipmonk.com site..I had found one site last night with prices(around $150 for the basic blued model) but can't find it anymore...nor do I know what U can buy on line as far as firearms are concerned..Thanks to all

I sure can"t find it..changed screen resolution thinking maybe it was hid because I do have my font so big...still no find..

That thing looks a lot like the Tompkins center fire guns. I know they make ones that are almost any Cal. and are a nice target gun and dang near the be when you want to stack your bullets in a target

If you want something along those lines why not the Ruger Charger? Unlike those single shot chipmonk things it's semi auto.

Not going to spend that kind of money on one-don"t need one at all--just want something made on a short style.Just wanting a knock about cheaper something to not worry about getting it scratched up..

You are right. The money is what has been keeping me from buying one too. Not to mention what it might do to your wrist. I looked at those bullets for it at a Cabela's. That is one big round. It will knock down a Buffalo. Just thought I would throw it in. They talked about it once on NRA's Cam and Company on Satellite Radio. Been wanting one every since.

(quoted from post at 19:24:20 08/14/11) Why not just get a real mans pistol?
Bison Bull

A real man's pistol?

In the first place it's a revolver and it's for the real man that has too much money.

Take that thing to the range and no one is going to want to fire more than 6 rounds out of it. It's just a novelty, not really good for any serious shooting.

For crying out loud it's 17 1/2" long and weighs 6 pounds unloaded.

I don't see so good anymore either.

I got a Mossberg Model 590 riot type shotgun in stainless with a pistol grip. It's got about a 20" barrel (might be a tad longer but not much) and it'll do slugs all day long. Mostly gets a diet of No. 6 shot for the occassional stray dog. It's no stranger to "00" either.
The "9" in the model number desinates a 9 shot magazine.

Sounds like you are offended for some reason. My post had
nothen to do with yours. Maybe you thought it did.
I agree with much of what you said. Yes, it is more of a novelty.
Just as a 22 is more of a toy. But if I was in an area with Bears I
know which one I would want to have.
Yes, that is a lots of money for one. Year and half ago when I
first saw it they were going for $1200. I was surprised yesterday
when I saw how they have gone up. I've heard of people finding
them in pawn shops for $800. I might could handle that. Other
wise the only way I probably will own one is if I win the Lotto.
Yes, it's 17.5 inches. The one you put up is 19.25. What's your
point there?
Yes, it is heavy. With a round like it fires it's gona have to be.
I wouldn't say "No One" would fire over six rounds. A (yes, I'm
going to say it) "Real Man" might fire more. As I say that I think
of when I use to do construction. You ever done Roofing? If you
have you know what it is like carrying a bundle of shingles of the
ladder. I remember one guy I knew that would carry up two at a
time. Think about it. Can you say he could only handle shooting
it six times?
What's wrong with a revolvers? Autos are good. Great for
defense. But I like the old west style too.

I put this up here because I thought some people probably had
never seen it and would be interested in seeing it. Had you ever
seen it? It is a nice well made gun. And yes, it is over a practical
size. Wouldn't be good for Quick Draw.

Now about the one you posted. Thanks for doing so. I've had a
10/22 rifle for 30 years. It is a great rifle. I've also have a Mac
22. It uses the same clip. I've got 30 and 50 round clips that can
be use in both. I like the one you posted and will be keeping an
eye out for one to add to my small collection. Great thing about
a 22 is you can afford to shoot all day long.

Sorry if I offended you.

I guess you're talking to me here. You did not offend me. As for the Ruger Charger, I merely posted it because it's along the lines of what the OP was looking for. Myself, I have no use for something like that.

Now about the Bison Bull, I only spoke my opinion. To me that thing just would be no fun to shoot. No one is going to sit and put 50 rounds through that thing even if he could afford it. I don't care who you are, the human hand is just not built to take that kind of punishment.

I'm not exactly a stranger to guns. I happen to make my living as a custom gun grip maker. I like shooting guns that are a pleasure to shoot, not one that I have to fight to keep it from cracking open my forehead.

Here are a couple of my guns that are fun to shoot. Both Rugers. By the way I have many hand guns but only one semi auto. That's a Beretta 92FS that lives under my mattress for safety reasons. And before you say anything, no there are no children in my house.

WOW, Nice pictures. So, you make a living as a custom gun grip
maker. That is impressive. Did you make the grips in the picture?
Looks real good. Just seemed you came down pretty hard on my
post. Glad we got that cleared up.

Sorry if you thought I came down hard on you. What I really came down on was that big hand gun. Like I said, it's just a novelty. If I had more money than I needed, I might even purchase one just to put a (few) rounds down range once in a while for something new.

Yes, I made the grips in the pictures. I could give you my website address but I think that may be frowned upon here.

Some of the bigger hand guns have been known to break shooters wrist. No I'm not sure if that's because of the gun or the shooter. Even the AE 50 mag has done that. I kinda laugh at the "real mans" thing. I know 2 real men who shoot hot loads out of a 300 Weatherby mag for deer at ranges under 300 yards cause they think they are real men.

Great looking grips! Make any for the 1911 .45 ACP?

Email is open.
