Hi,
will be spending some quality time this weekend with the jube. Testing compression, sparkies, etc as its a hard starter and struggles a bit with the brush hog.
It has some surging at low rpms in response to load changes, and at WOT it reaches about 2000 rpm and then settles to 1300-1400 after 15-20 sec.
I 'spect the governor needs adjusting, as well as the (wrong) carb needs a little tweaking and maybe a clean/rebuild. I read the manual and it seems pretty straightforward.
I have looked online for a new governor spring, but I only see replacement kits for a flyweight governor. I don;t know for sure which kind my machine has, but I don't see a replacement spring listed anywhere even tho that seems to be the first thing to replace if you have surging.
The other little gizmo I canna find is the dumb little clip that holds the throttle rod to the bellcrank. Mines busted and the rod hops out now and then.
