Looking for a reasonably priced rear tire for my 1949 9N tractor. Current size is 12.4-28. Tread is the "normal" self--cleaning tread. Any help?

At $500+ doesn't sound like such a good buy. I found them at King Tires for less than half that. Will Keep looking though. Thanks for the reply.

Earnest......you do know the original ag-bar tire size was 10-28, don't you??? The gobberment re-measured the tire and now the same tire is 11.2. Generally around $200 ea.

As fer yer 12.4-28, they do cost more specially iff'n you also buy new rim and hub. $500 sounds about rite. You will NOT haffta replace them ever unless you rot and trash them. 25yr life is only $20/yr. ......Dell

I just bought a set of 13.6x28's for my 850 with 6 loop rims and tubes.. assembled.. delivered to my door for 700$ from tucker.

darn good looking tires.

ere those the "East One" brand? That is what I got for Olie. They were 12.4 X 28 with rims deliverd to my door in Colorado for $800 2 years ago and we have been very pleased with them

we are in ca & shopping for rear tires, saw Tucker on ebay....sounds like they are a good company to deal with. are the rims & tires they sell pretty good quality?

Yes, but the original tires were really narrow and the tractor had the 12.4-28s on it when I bought it about 10 years ago. I rode one of these on our farm more than 50 years ago and I do remember the tires being pretty narrow in order to plow corn, pull a planter, etc. The one tire was almost new at that time I bought this tractor but the other was obviously pretty old and really shows splitting, etc., now, right down to the cord. Time to get a replacement. I'd buy two tires but I only use the tractor to mow an acre of grass and grade my DG drivewas with a box blade. Thanks for the info.

I found a single tire for $217 plus about $125 for delivery and was hoping to find something in the Southern California area where I could simply drive to and pick up. Anyone know of anything in the LA area?

did you check Duratire on ebay? they are in Los Angeles. maybe you can pick them up there. we are also in so cal & looking at what they have to offer.
