12 volt 9n no spark

Ok, did the 12 volt conversion on my 9n a few years ago and she's been running fine ever since. Was plowing with her and she did not want to provide any power other than idling. Put in new spark plugs, now no start, no spark to the plugs.
Is there an easy solution?
Can the electric ignition go bad?
I can't find any other posts like this here, so, hopefully one or some of you experienced guys can help.
I sure would appreciate it. The snow's waiting!

#9......you ask......"Can the electric ignition go bad?"......YES, that is why you pay BIG MONEY to beable to call the Mfgr and complain. Most ignition problems as you describe are "LOOSE WIRE CONNECTION".......NOT carburetor problems. Lack of high power in this weather is believe it or not ICE inside yer carb. Simple cure, wrap some aluminum foil around carb and EXHAUST pipe. You just shot yerself in the foot. ......respectfully, Dell

You said electric ignition but not electronic ignition so I assume you still are using points. Front mounted distributors have a tendancy to get water inside the distributor when working in snow. I would remove the two bolts holding the distributor in place and take to a nice warm place to work on. Check to see if the points are pitted and/or adjusted properly if necessary replace. If they look OK then dry out by using a hair drier, reinstall and see if it starts. If it does start you should consider getting a new set of gaskets for the distributor. If you have electronic ignition then you may have other problems.

What I meant was electronic ignition. No Dell still will not start in this 40 degree weather.
Thanks for the comments.

Ok, thanks for putting the obvious in my head!
I checked the wire connection and it was disconnected!!!
Just hard to see do to the fact that they provide such a small wire from the ignition that it hides behind the generator.
Thanks for the input!!
