9N Chargeing Issues

I started this post last weekend:

I ordered a cutout last weekend which arrived during the week. Dad put in on today and all is well now.

Still don't know what kind of generator is on the tractor though. Looking through some catalogs I wonder if someone could have made a two brush generator from an 8N work.

Anyway, thought you might be interested that it was fixed.

I am no expert, but it looks like a hybred to me. If it is charging , don't mess with it unless the charging rate is too high. Does the high/low switch work?
