I finally got my sickle bar mower working well, and just came in from cutting hay because the 8N was gradually running rougher and rougher with occasional pop/backfires out the tailpipe.
My suspicion is that the points need a clean and adjust (they haven't been touched since the rebuild a year ago). Got a fan on the engine to cool her down and will report back hopefully with "success."
