any one familiar with the Oliver Superior Company who used to build Manure Spreaders in Springfield, Ohio. I just pulled our old one out of the shed and was surprised at the shape it was in. So I decided to restore the darn thing, gettin pretty deep. Ill put the kids in it at the town parade in early August. Took all the boards off and am sandblastin the balance repainting with corlar epxoy primer and Imron finish. The interior of the boards will be linseed oiled. It was built in the late 40's I used to hand load it in the 50's. Designed for horses but my uncle pulled it with the tractor, faster he went the farther the s___flew with me sittin on the darn thing.

I have an Oliver-Superior ground drive manure spreader, Serial Number 7902 and am looking for parts. I need the "dog" that move the gear a tooth at a time to move the bed chain. On the casting is a number, 5L 250A. Any help?

My dad just picked up an Oliver Superior Manure Spreader that is in need of restoratation. If any body out there could give us a little information, we would appreciate it. Primarily, what paint equivelents to use and links to sites that can give us some information to go on. Thanks, Ryan Strampe.

I let my brother ride on the manure wagon seat one time, he was smaller of course, and I drove my uncles SC. Well I thought I was going to be a smart ___ and put that thing in 3rd gear. I think I got more on me than on him. My uncle made me wash the Case, but it was worth the laugh.

When we were in the tractor business in the early sixties. We advertised that the only piece of exuipment that we would not stand behind was our manure spreaders.
I think a restored manure spreader would be a great idea.
I sure did hate to see one come in the shop when the weather was down below freezing and someone had tried to operate the spreader with it frozen up and had broken a gear or chain etc. It was my job to fix the stinking thing!
As Bing Crosby used to say,A lotta Do Do.
