Battery Installation Question

I did a stupid thing. I took the battery out of my 1946 2n and did not notice which wire went to the positive pole on the battery.

Please help.

THanks!

the positive post is larger than the negitive one, If you are still 6 volt it is negitive to the starter post if 12 volt then positive to the starter

The 1946 2N came from the factory, 6-volts POSITIVE GROUND. The flat-braid connected to the rusty sheetmetal battery tray is GROUND and is connected to the battery (+) labeled post. And the battery (-) is connected to the starter switch with 1/0 (one-ought) thick as yer thumb insulated cable......Dell

Not much 'technical' detail needed here. Big post doesn't go into small hole easily AND big hole difficult to tighten around small post.

LOL such a simple answer. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself. Been there done that, too.
