How about everyone listing the NAPA part numbers for 8n/2n/9n parts, so we can archive a parts list. There may be parts available from NAPA that many of us are unaware of. For example, I didn't know I could get points from NAPA until I read a post yesterday from Bruce. (I still don't know what the parts number is).

My 6v front mount 8n died yesterday while I was hauling a bucket of rocks. Turned out the new Tisco rotor fell apart after about 10 hours of use. I had a spare and got another new one from New Holland today, but I'd like to know if there are other sources.
Gaskets, resistors, points, filters, etc. etc.

Thanks in advance!!

PS I have bought parts from this site, and will continue to support them.

Voltage regulators. (from a post by GB)
VR 950 for "A" circuit

VR 951 for "B" circuit

I said. Now I don't have to go to TSC for those every day parts. I haven't compared prices yet. But now if they don't have it at least I can talk to someone that has a little knowledge about Ns. There is at least 1 guy that knows a little about them.

Considering that NAPA's electrical parts are made by Echlin Ignition (who also make Accel) and they have been supplying NAPA since 1928, I would not hesitate to pay more for those parts than I would similar parts from a company that peddles low quality Chinese crap (TSC).
I wonder how many of the ignition/starting/charging problems us "newbies" have could have been avoided by buying quality parts or refurbishing what we had. (Or leaving 6v systems alone). I'm glad I refurbished my generator and starter, and had my original radiator redone. I couldn't have afforded to replace them anyway, so maybe low cash flow is a good thing. Forces you to fix what you have.

Dan has a very comprehensive list.

Add this one to it for a no resistor needed sidemount coil:

Coil (TRUE 12-Volt... No resistor needed)

NAPA #IC14SB
